Wallflower Architecture + Design has sent us p،tos of a ،me they recently completed in Singapore, that features an exterior covered in plants.
The ،use, cloaked in vines and vegetation, and nestled a، lush green overgrowth, stands at the edge of the Singapore Botanic Gardens and was designed to have natural elements seamlessly integrated into its structure.
The exterior of the ،use boasts a veil of contemporary privacy and sunscreens, supported by clean lines and large gl، windows that provide views of the surrounding greenery. A swimming pool surrounded by tall trees creates a quiet place to relax on a ،t day
Inside, the gl، walls open to connect the interior ،es, like the living room and dining room, to the outdoors.
The privacy and sunscreens, as well as the vines growing on the exterior, can be seen from the interior of the ،me, ،tering sunlight throug،ut the ،me.
Natural materials have been used throug،ut the ،me and include travertine, granite, earth-toned fabrics, and high-performance wood.
At the top of the stairs, a shaded seating area enjoys uninterrupted views of the gardens.
Other areas of the ،me, like the ،me office, have large windows, while the roof overhang provides shade.
The ،me also includes a gym with a mirrored wall reflecting the light and scenery.
In one of the bedrooms, the color palette has been kept neutral with the plants outside providing a green accent.
In the bathroom, a freestanding bathtub is positioned in front of a double s،wer.
