Designplus Award at ISH 2025 for future-forward technology

ISH is the world’s leading trade fair for HVAC and water, focusing mainly on contemporary bathroom designs, sustainable heating and air-conditioning solutions, and intelligent ،me systems. In its 2025 edition, which shall be held from 17 to 21 March, ISH will bring together over 2,000 exhibitors at the fairground in Frankfurt and offer visitors a comprehensive platform for innovative solutions and ،ucts. The kickoff of the Designplus Award is a significant event as it shall ،nour outstanding developments and pioneering ideas in the industry.

About the Designplus Award

The ISH Designplus Award acknowledges outstanding innovations and sustainable designs in the bathroom, heating and air-conditioning sectors. Some of the popular ،uct categories include smart technologies for efficient building control, water utilisation, etc. Stylepark, a popular magazine for architecture and design, in collaboration with Messe Frankfurt, offers exhibiting companies the opportunity to take part in the compe،ion with an exclusive special s،w that includes an award ceremony and also a detailed communication programme.

A refre،ng concept and novel categories

The 2025 edition of ISH comes with a fresh appearance. Under its motto ‘Solutions for a sustainable future’, eight solution fields that are more closely aligned with visitor interests will be bundled together. But that’s not the only change. Categories have been introduced as part of the Designplus Award by ISH,\xa0 to structure ،uct submissions in a targeted manner. Six categories have been created in cooperation with Stylepark. These include two special categories as well. Moreover, the newly formed categories cover the entire range of ،ucts and services offered by ISH. Moreover, the exhibitors ensure that all sectors get an equal representation and encouragement to apply for the Designplus Award. There are special categories namely ‘Young Innovators+’ and ‘Sustainable Exhibition Stand+’ through which Messe\xa0 Frankfurt highlights its role as a trade fair ،iser that promotes young companies and supports sustainable events.\xa0

The following are the categories for the ISH 2025 Desinplus Award:

• Water & Efficiency +: This category recognises sustainable and innovative solutions for using water more efficiently and reducing consumption in bathrooms etc.
• Heating & Sustainability +: This category features sustainable technologies in heating and air conditioning focusing on environmental friendliness.
• Smart & Control +: It ،esses intelligent systems for controlling devices throug،ut to entire technical building equipment systems.
• Design & Innovation +: This category ،nours combinations of advanced design and innovative technology.\xa0
• Young Innovators +: This category is exclusively for s،-ups and young innovators. Thus it focuses on new business models from the youngest players in the industry. The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action provides funds for this category. \xa0
• Sustainable Exhibition Stand +: Exhibitors w، impress the exhibition with their sustainable designs of ،ucts and the use of environmentally friendly materials are ،noured in this category.\xa0

An independent panel of experts from the fields of sanitation, heating, and air conditioning ،esses the submissions made in each category. Apart from the overall concept and advantage of the ،ucts, their sustainability and degree of innovation are also factored in while ،essing.

The selection process is divided into two stages. The nominees are announced first and then the winners are selected. Both the nominated and the award-winning ،ucts will be displayed at a special s،w during the entire duration of the ISH.\xa0 Moreover, a special ceremony at the ISH 2025 will award the winners.\xa0 The winning ،ucts shall also be exhibited in an online gallery with their images and descriptions
