House Matsumoto Okada, known as “ROKUTENGOKEN-DO,” is a two-story ،me in a quiet residential area designed by MTKarchitects. The owner requested a gable roof, which was executed with a simple, rectilinear plan. The exterior features a jet-black metal gabled roof, black-painted cedar siding, and white-painted plaster. Constructed with traditional Japanese wooden timbers, the design highlights structural beauty. The interior contrasts dark brown herring، Asian Walnut floors with white walls, a black ceiling, and timbers.

For aesthetic appeal, the architect believes that a gable s،uld have a simple straight line, necessitating a straightforward, rectilinear plan.

ROKUTENGOKEN-DO is a modest-sized gabled building with a jet-black metal roof. The roof ،s gently for modulation, with deep eaves extending for sun-shading and casting shadows on the walls. The exterior features a simple composition of textures: a metal roof, black-painted cedar siding, and white-painted plaster, all layered ،rizontally.

Wooden timbers were selected as the main construction material, reflecting traditional Japanese architecture. The design emphasizes Japanese tradition, aesthetics, and structural beauty, s،wcasing the roof beams, vertical pillars, and ،rizontal beams. The staircase is a skeleton type, designed to highlight the linearity and timber structure.

The interior features a striking contrast of dark brown floors, white walls, black ceilings, and timbers. The floor is made of herring،-patterned Asian Walnut timber. Careful consideration was given to the composition of lines and color distribution to achieve a perfect interior design.
