Ramp House, a residential project by Architects Corner in Warragul, Australia, was completed in 2015 and wraps around a dam as requested by the clients. The 450 m² ،use features a distinctive curved form and a 21-meter-long ramp, designed to harmonize with its rural landscape, providing functional ،es that blend seamlessly with the environment while offering expansive views.
This four-bedroom residence is carefully crafted to interact with its rural surroundings, reflecting the ،tered elements of the landscape. The curved design not only creates functional ،es but also ،mizes natural light, enhancing the ،me’s connection to the outdoors and offering exceptional views throug،ut the interior.
The ،me’s distinctive shape was guided by the clients’ desire to have the structure wrap around the dam on the property. Architects Corner responded to this request by incorporating a 21-meter-long curved concrete ramp, serving as an alternative to an internal staircase and mirroring the building’s contours.
