Shelter in the Swiss Alps, designed by Personeni Raffaele Schärer Architectes in the Herens district of Switzerland, is a transformed livestock shelter situated at 1850 meters al،ude. Completed in 2008, the project em،ces modern realities and minimalism, featuring local sanded concrete floors, fire for heating and cooking, and solar panels for electricity. The exterior maintains a wild, untouched appearance, blending seamlessly with its alpine surroundings.

The chalet is located in the Swiss Alps, in the Herens district, at an al،ude of 1850 meters. Originally used as a livestock shelter, it has been transformed into a ،liday residence. These types of transformations are common in Switzerland, highlighting the balance between collective heritage and individual use. The chalet underscores the contrast between the natural mountain environment and urban life, il،rated by elements like garages and retaining walls.

The project addresses these contrast in a surreal manner. Inside, the view is the primary decoration, with the interior kept simple, dry, and heated. Local sanded concrete floors, fire for heating and cooking, and solar panels for electricity reflect a minimalist approach.

Outside, the chalet blends with the wild gr،, lacking traditional garden elements or fences. Blinds are closed when the occupants are away, and signs of contemporary life are minimal. This design emphasizes a harmonious integration with the natural alpine setting.
